Generally, I am a high energy person who doesn't like to waste time sitting around chewing the fat. I feel like life is short so I like to pack as much into everyday. One thing I have learned over the years is that you can't run at 💯 all day. When I get tired, I can't focus and decision making becomes challenging so this is my que to take a break!⁠

As I get up early around 4-5 am this means I go to bed early to. I also have the luxury of being able to take a nap during the day AKA siesta historically common throughout the Mediterranean and Southern Eurpore. There have been studies in Greece that indicate that those who nap have less risk of heart attack so I am sticking with the day time nap thing!⁠

So my tip is know when to slow down 🐢 rest 💤 so you can go again!⁠

😴A shoutout to EDEN Pillows @edenpillows for their Ergonomic Contoured Pillow. I was waking up with a dead arm/pins and needles from lying on my side all night. That has now stopped as I don't toss and turn and have a much better sleep!⁠

1️⃣ Begin with your feet shoulder-width apart, toes slightly turned out. Cross your arms in front of your chest as this shifts the brunt of the load to your hips instead of your knees.⁠
2️⃣ Keep your knees over your toes during the lowering portion of the bodyweight squat.Watch that your knees don’t collapse inward, as this can  increase your risk of joint pain and injury.⁠
3️⃣ Start by slowly bending at the knees and drop your hips to lower your body. Keep your entire foot pressed into the floor, push through the outside of each foot as you lower into your squat.⁠
4️⃣ Focus on feeling your glutes throughout the entire bodyweight squat. As you lower, feel them stretch. As you stand, forcefully contract them.⁠
5️⃣ Go as deep as possible while maintaining good form in the bodyweight squat.⁠
