*stumbles in* alrighty. now for that book review I told ya all about...
firstly, thank you @kaylin.r.boyd for gifting me with your delightful story, Tell City! 🍎

Tell City tells the story of a boy named Charles who, after having many dreams he believes are more than just dreams, ventures out to find the small town of Tell City in hopes that it will bring some clarity. along the way, he encounters various characters from a cop to a shapeshifter, and only when he arrives to Tell City does he finally discover the oracle and just what his purpose in its existence is.

I never know where to begin with book reviews... but I suppose we can start with the concept of the story, which was brilliant. right when I read the blurb of Tell City, I knew that it’d be nothing short of interesting. the enigma that was the ‘oracle’, how people are drawn to it for desires but don’t actually know what they’re in for was a glimmering sea of mystery. aside from the main character, Charles, I found the characters he met along his journey to the city to be just as interesting. I kept wondering what their role in the story would be, as I suspected everything would be tied to this mysterious oracle.
the writing style was very simplistic and neat, making for a nice, light read; overcast with a modern feel that had a tinge of southern charm, being as it was urban fantasy. I need to say that despite my intrigue by the overall story, I do wish I knew more about the characters, but to be fair, it was very plot-driven. other than that, the book was quite a decent one and I really enjoyed getting to know the world and unique characters Tell City introduced me to!
