[100/100] #100daysofcode 🚀 [EN] Yes!!! 🎉 I've finished challenge #100DaysOfCode and it was amazing! This challenge was really meaningful in my career transition, as it helped me to keep the consistency and consequently improve my programming skills like I've never done before. I've completed courses, books, several tutorials, worked on personal projects, contributed to open source project, had a lot of fun and met so many lovely and talented people whom I draw most of my inspiration from. Being involved in a developer community has done a lot more than I expected, and has been so important to the progress I've made, especially on days when you feel down, some community positivity can help you stay strong.
.
Besides all that, I've learned that sitting down and writing code every day is not easy, keeping motivated requires effort, being excited about your project makes a big difference, and finally learning takes time and dedication, so, in fact, the real challenge, which is building a successful career as a developer, is just beginning. So, I will continue to share the next chapters of this journey here. Thank you all so much for being a part of this. ❤️😍

Who there watched the Apple Event? 🙋🏽‍♀️
I didn’t get the change to watch everything because I was busy taking care of my son. But I watched the last minutes from the Apple Watch to the end.
To be honest, I was waiting to see the new iPhones. I wanted that the new iPhone was released so I could buy soon the XS. But omg! Apple overcame itself again. The new IPhone 11 Pro looks really cool and the camera is really amazing!
The technology in this iPhone brings it to another level. I was all excited about the machine learning part and the A13 chip. The design is so beautiful and doesn’t matter how it looks ugly on the paper, apple always find a way of making it look beautiful in reality 😍

And you, did you watch the #appleevent ? What did you think about it?.

[077/100] #100daysofcode 🚀 [EN] Almost finishing the book about Ruby on Rails and these are the concepts I've been learning, reviewing and practicing these last few days:
.
- Commands - basic Rails and rake commands, such as generators, visualize routes, run server and console;
- Migrations - how to generate migrations that create tables, add indexes and columns;
- Models - how to create models, including validations and callbacks;
- Security - how to prevent malicious code injection via helpers, how to prevent attacks via mass assignment, how to encrypt users' passwords;
- Emails - sending email using multipart, sending HTML and plain text at the same time;
- Routes - how to build simple routes;
- Asset Pipeline - how one of the most complex components of Rails works and how to work with it;
- Controllers - control the flow of navigation and flash messages;
- I18n - internationalization of application messages;
- Views and Helpers - creating views, layouts, partials and
helpers
.
Are you familiar with any of them?
.
#100daysofcode🇧🇷 [PT] Quase finalizando o livro sobre Ruby on Rails e esses são os conceitos que eu tenho aprendido, revisado e praticado nesses últimos dias:
.
• Comandos — comandos básicos do Rails e do rake, como geradores, visualizar rotas, executar servidor e console;
• Migrações — como gerar migrações que criam tabelas, adicionam índices e colunas;
• Models — como criar models, incluindo validações e callbacks;
• Segurança — como evitar injeção de código malicioso via helpers, como evitar ataques via mass assignment, como encriptar senha dos usuários;
• E-mails — envio de e-mails usando multipart, enviando HTML e texto puro ao mesmo tempo;
• Rotas — como construir rotas simples;
• Asset Pipeline — como um dos componentes mais complexos do Rails funciona e como trabalhar com ele;
• Controllers — controle de fluxo de navegação e mensagens flash;
• I18n — internacionalização das mensagens da aplicação;
• Views e Helpers — criação de views, layouts, partials e
helpers

[087-089/100] #100daysofcode 🚀 [EN] I've been programming for a while and sometimes I feel like I'm not learning enough. These last few days every time I sat down to code, I felt stuck, like I wasn't making any progress. I was tired and demotivated. Any desire for code I had previously seemed to have completely disappeared.
.
I needed to take this little break to get my confidence back and remember that I like to program. Learning to code requires a different mentality than usual, so it's difficult. You need to consider every step forward, no matter how small, as a success. And that's not always easy. Not every day will be equally good, but you decide how bad a bad day is. So, on bad days, stick to the small achievable goals.
.
Have you ever been there? What are your tips for programming when you don't feel like it?

Working in a team on a shared code base there is benefits in having standardized commit messages. It has many benefits, including:
⠀
👉 It makes Git history consistent and easy to understand
👉 You can use the commit messages to automate some tasks based on a predefined template. [skip travis] is a popular use case.
⠀
Meet Commitizen:
🔗 commitizen.github.io/cz-cli
⠀
When you commit with Commitizen, you'll be prompted to fill out any required commit fields at commit time.
⠀
❌ No more digging through CONTRIBUTING.md to find what the preferred format is.
❌ No more waiting until later for a git commit hook to run and reject your commit (though that can still be helpful).
⠀
✅ Get instant feedback on your commit message formatting and be prompted for required fields.
⠀
Enjoy!

Today was an exciting milestone for me. I’m officially no longer a *junior* developer 🥳 It’s hard to even put into words how I’m feeling. Less than 3 years ago I knew absolutely nothing about programming. But I dove in head first, worked my butt 🍑 off, and never looked back. So thankful to my family, friends, mentors, and coworkers who’ve supported me and helped get me to this point. Excited for this new chapter to bring more confidence and growth, and less imposter syndrome and stress. Feels like the right occasion to say a new, junior-less “hello world” 💻 .
