With the release of my new stickers next week I thought would be a perfect time to mention my “brand”. 🎨Often times as makers we try to stay “on brand”. While I see the importance of this and trying to not step on the toes of other makers, at the same time for me my creative journey is a little bit different. I’m not here to create a big business with a defining brand. I’m an art teacher 👩🏫 and all day every day I experiment and learn. My newest project is starting an Art Graphics #makerspace program in our school. We are talking laser engraver, dye sublimation, graphic design and so much more!!! ✨While teaching myself I have gotten excited and created some products with that new knowledge! I know I started out here years ago as a “woodslice maker” I cannot stifle my creativity and stay in that lane per se. Not that any of this matters or has any weight, u thought that I would just try and connect some of the dots for you! I’m showing some of my non-hand-painted products which are created just as much from me, by me, from my creative heart ❤️🎨
I would love to hear your opinion on staying in your own lane if you have one. I say create from your heart because we are all different artists!
