.
Today building a reusable button component in React. Several flags are present which help to apply various styles to the button with the help of classes. For conditionally selecting classes, classnames npm package is being used. Also trying to structure the react code using pages-containers-components approach.

Had to rework on the button component and build it using antd's button component instead of the previous version which was built on a pure button element. Needed to make this change coz otherwise it would have lead to inconsistencies in the the theme. Also trying out hands with less for the styling part. Found nesting and colour functions really helpful.
.
All the code is available on my GitHub account (username-> parmeet1402) and my Codepen Account (username -> parmeet1402). ・

Success is simple. Here‘s a guide. 🍃
•••
That‘s it. No catch. It just that. It‘s simple.
•••
You might ask „how comes so few are successful if it‘s that simple“ and the answer to this is simple as well. And you won‘t like it. But it’s not making it any less true. And in a few seconds of thinking you‘ll notice that.
•••
The reason number ☝🏻 so few are successful is because they tell themselves „it can‘t be that simple“ and if they ask their friends they reply and agree „yeah it can‘t be that simple“. And there you go. You feel „confirmed“ on something neither you nor your friend have experience with. ❌
•••
The second ✌🏻reason is because you're too lazy or unmotivated to actually work for success. And that‘s it. Yes that‘s it! Stop thinking „that can‘t be it“ right now because exactly that‘s the thinking that holds you back from success 🚀
•••
Who am I to tell you this 😊? Everything to this point in my life I wanted to achieve - I did achieve. Because I never „complained“ about the price I had to pay for a goal but just zipped it and executed 😊
•••
Here‘s an example. I get a lot of DMs asking how to get projects. And that they tried for so long. I tried for 3 days and landed my first one on a website where no one knows who I am and I have 0 reputation on. Basically with no proof of my skill I landed a project. How? I just sat down, wrote 5 quality proposals a day to projects (no copy and paste proposals). It took me hours to write 5. But again. I just wanted something. The price was putting in the work. I didn‘t complain but zipped it and executed. Done. 😊

Great to be back. After three weeks of travelling, I’m back to my favourite caffeine dealer :) -
Today is laid back, family day.
As usual, spending part of the Sunday for planning ahead to jump-start week on Monday.

Enjoy last Sunday of this summer!

Today I would like to talk a little bit about command line arguments in python3.
.
So I am currently working with a nice project and I had to create a script which will be running manually from the command line. So I needed to add an option to run it with arguments. I used #argparse for that. It supports features like.
.
1.Multiple options in any order.
.
2.Short and long options.
.
3.Default values.
.
4.Generation of a usage help message
.
So basically, argparse does all the magic for you taking off the heavy lifting of parsing and validation. It also allows you to provide positional parameters (mandatory) and optional arguments. You should try it out!
.
Have a great day!

I usually don’t actually show my code clear in photos because it is something I am currently working on. But I came across this old project I built when I was first learning Reactjs. It definitely isn’t perfect, but it made me think back on this project. I had to build a Reactjs app that took in a list of different drinks from an API and the user could filter through them based on type etc... sounds simple right? At the time when it was one of my first projects it felt challenging to me. It was a good reminder to me that those feelings of being challenged and questioning if I know what I am doing are OK! I have been working on parts of a lot of new things for me such as making Lambda functions for AWS, working with Docker more and really focusing on Express/Node. Even though I am loving it, sometimes it can make me feel like “what am I doing!?” But then you get through it and it becomes second nature. Just like that first Reactjs app did. 💡👩‍💻.

Local Entrepreneurs 🌆
•••
Did you know there‘s a website / an app called „meetup“ where you can find literally any kind of groups from coding to designing to cooking to yoga? ✨
•••
There was one meetup yesterday where „Local Entrepreneurs“ would catch up in a bar with one single intention: to find and get to know other like minded peeps and it was awesome 🔥
•••
Sure. In the beginning you feel a little uncomfortable because lets face it.. just tapping on the shoulder of a stranger and say what‘s up takes some overcoming. But this is exactly what you want. Getting out of your comfort zone and grow beyond it 🚀
•••
I have met a handful great personalities you really enjoyed spending time with. Exchanged numbers and even arranged this sunday to go climbing together 🧗🏼‍♂️
•••
I‘m not the type of person to go party every weekend but meeting new peeps who want to found a company or own a company already is definitely my thing 😊!

👨🏻‍💻 PCs have a place on the desk too. Though since I do all my coding on Mac, it still gets the majority of the screen time.

📷By @mickael.dev • • • • • • [5/100] #100daysofcode 📱Grid system, pseudo-class, calc and new wallpaper I learned many stuffs like class^="col-" which selects every class that starts with col- or the use of calc(). The usages of grid system and pseudo-class are really powerful and with rem’s, you can basically style anything… I’m pumped about what I learned. The project is also really sick. _______________________ What is the last things you’ve learned ? Comment down below ! _______________________ Btw I don’t know if I mentioned this but this course is from Jonas Schmedtmann from « Advanced CSS and Sass ». In case you wanna follow along, I recommend you learn from this guy. Can’t wait to mix what I learned with NodeJS and implement it to my projets. I know I’ve kinda mix things around while I should have started with CSS and then move on to Node or JS in general. But… I had opportunities and I knew most of the basics. 😅 _______________________ Quote : « Be regular and orderly in your life, so that you can be violent and original in your work » ・ __________________________________________ - #️⃣Use #codingdays for a repost😊 - ➡️Follow @codingdays for more! 💯 - 💻Or DM your pic directly📚🎧💻 __________________________________________ ・ #code #coding #developer #development #programming #programmer #dev #developers #web #webdesign #frontend #backend #websitedesign #softwareengineer #softwareengineering #javascript #csharp #uidesign #angular #pythoncode #html #workspace #workdesk #codinglife #workstation #geeklife #devlife #coder ...
