“Grow up + Glow up” ———-
The struggles to “glow up” is real. We are told we graduate from college get a job/career, buy a house, get married, have 2.5 kids, and look fabulous while doing so. The truth is “growing” up, being an adult, an entrepreneur, and navigating your career is hard and stressful. As women we store so much stress in our bodies which alters our hormones. As life happens, we get more and more stressed dealing with life altering situations which cause our body to go into “fight or flight” mode releasing hormones that can cause us to retain weight, have hormonal acne, or lose hair as our body is prioritizing organ function over our external aesthetics. //
In the last year, I have experienced the highest highs and the lowest lows causing my body to spontaneously gain or lose 10lbs, my skin to break out, and not sure if this is related or I’m just the black sheep of the family but my hair to darken, despite being adamant about eating an anti-inflammatory diet, engaging in wellness practices (walking the dog counts ), and taking every known vitamin and aptagen designed to increase your body’s immune system. //
In all honesty I still don’t have a cure all answer, but here is what i have been doing that has seemed to help move the needle...
“Prime Tea”- Hot water with cumin, coriander, fennel. Read the book The Prime to see how a neurologist found spontaneous weight loss trying to cure Alzheimer’s with ayurvedic medicine //
Cool touch laser- resurfaces the skin, prevents fine lines, kills bacteria in the skin, and prevents breakouts. Warning Its one of the most painful experience of my life, this laser feels like a million rubber bands snapping your face, and it’s a bit expensive, I get mine done at a plastic surgeons office for 1/2 the price. //
Simple warming foods- raw is a very big trend right now, but cooked vegetables are much easier on the body to digest as they are already partially broken down, the less time your body spends digesting, the more time it spends healing it’s self (go to on the go @juicepress soups or cooked veg at home)

I’ve been fierce holding space for myself to stay grounded and focus on self and experiencing joy. I refuse to let grief or other people’s drama take my expression and my right to feel joy and hope. Some days I can only find it in the magic of nature and in my Art. I will take it with all the gratitude in my heart as a Devine offering. I have never wanted so much diligence in silences. Clearing of noise and static interrupting my communication with the Devine in myself, in nature and in the laws I breath and drink. I have had a big glass of “shut the [email protected]&!$ up” to be here now with gratitude. I want to express myself from a place vibing with the Devine heart 💚. For me, this means practicing her laws of slowing down enough to receive her magic in equal stillness. My expression born from a genuine consistent grounded practice of experiencing 💚💚💚 and her nurturing laws of creation. ...
