✨👑✨I can be the queen of positivity & motivating pep talks, but that doesn’t mean I’m immune to the harmful, negative self-talk that can creep into my mind from time to time. We are our own worst critics – sometimes bringing us to a very low point. We’ve all experienced this type of negativity at some point in our lives, 💁♀️ it’s human nature. But learning how to manage this negative self-talk & flip it on its head can be a critical part in not allowing these thoughts to ruin our mood & those around us.
Here’s something I like to do: Whenever I’m down & out on myself, I try to catch these thoughts & make it a point to imagine myself saying this to a cherished friend. 💯% of the time I would absolutely NEVER EVER speak to a friend or love one like that. 🙅♀️ Then I think of how I would approach this differently w/ a good friend; this is a great way for me to shift energy & realize that I’m being WAY too critical & ridiculously harsh on myself.
