If you have a choice, we always recommend shooting fresh film but if you come across expired film that has been stored well then it might be worth shooting!  This roll of Kodak Tri-X expired in 2003 but was cold stored so we should get really good results. When shooting with expired film it is best to overexpose by a 1 stop for every 10 years so we'll be shooting this film as 200 iso and getting it developed normally which is a 1 stop overexposure. We always recommend B&W since you wont have color shifts but if you like the color shifts of expired film we definitely recommend color negative film over slide film.  Color negative film has much more exposure latitude and does better when expired than slide film.
We’ll share the results from this roll in the future! #thedarkroomlab.

The unparalleled views of Lake Windermere in the Lake District, while leaning over the jetty at @beechhillhotelandspa a few weeks back. I’m back in the north this weekend, but a little further East. Excited for more mini weekend adventures? .
