Realise the abilities of lemon & use it to its full strength. Last week I shared with you the use of Lemon zest, today it is about its juice- the lemon juice.
It's so easy to mess up the simplest dishes: rice, chicken, even boxed macaroni and cheese could sometime turn out to be a mess. But adding just one extra ingredient can transform a dull dish or save dinner from being dumped down the garbage. Keep your rice from becoming sticky by cooking it in water with 2 tablespoons lemon juice. Lemons also give the rice a brilliant white color. Tender chicken is all that I long for and so before I cook chicken, I rub a wedge of lemon over it. The result is juicier and tenderer dish. Do try it for yourself and see! Also, lemon juice helps keep your apples from browning, The ascorbic acid of lemon prevents oxidation and further slows down the process of browning.
And I am using this as part of a very simple #wednesdayrecipe but it could be a tricky one to guess so, think long and hard as this is just the second hint.
