Healthy living isn’t just about eating well and moving well, it’s equally important to live well. Social connection is more important than both nutrition and exercise for a long, healthy life. Now while this doesn’t mean you get to mainline Twinkies if you have a good relationship with your family, it does mean you can’t truly be well without strong social ties. We need to be needed and we need others. And who doesn’t need a bestie like @suchakumar to be the biggest goober alllllll the time. 😂.

These things taste good, can have an effect on performance in the gym, and are so convenient when your in a pinch or struggling to get a certain macro/micro nutrient in.⠀

But are they really the 🔑 to achieving your health & fitness goal?⠀

NOPE! Not even a little bit.⠀

Supplements are simply made to SUPPLEMENT the diet. Fill the gaps were you might be lacking.⠀

Are you lacking in 🥦’s? Let’s take a greens mix.⠀

Are no not able to eat enough 🐠? Awesome let’s take a fish oil.⠀

Are you struggling to mix your protein goal? No biggy let’s add in a protein powder.⠀

Next show biz moments included asking me to lose weight. Telling me I looked pornographic. To tug my *assigned* costumes and cover up somehow.

Can you believe I allowed that shit to invade my brain and fester? I actually made a consultation to have my flesh cut away bc I thought the facts were that my softness and curvature would stop me from succeeding in the business.

It’s nice to be on the other side of years of healthy living, but more importantly healthy thoughts. Your mind is a garden. You let seeds in and grow them with your attention. Friends and support systems are nourishment, but you gotta tend your own blooms.
