Night view over Forbidden City in Beijing from the highest and middle pavilion (of five) in Jingshan Park located on backside of Forbidden City 从景山公园最高点瞭望故宫全景. Here is the best place for overview of Forbidden City.
.
🇨🇳INFORMATION🇨🇳
Forbidden City, situated in very heart of Beijing, was home during very long time to 24 emperors from Ming (1368–1644) to Qing (1644–1911) Dynasties.

The construction of the grand palace started in the fourth year of Emperor Yongle of Ming Dynasty (1406) and ended in 1420.

In ancient times, the emperor was said to be a son of Heaven and therefore Heaven’s supreme power was bestowed upon him. The emperors’ residence on earth was built as a replica of the Purple Palacewhere God was thought to live in Heaven.

In 1961, Forbidden City was listed as an important historical monument under Chinese central government special preservation.

In 1987, it was nominated as World Cultural Heritage by UNESCO. The Palace Museum is a treasure house of Chinese cultural and historical relics.

It is recognized as one of the most important five palaces in the world (the other four are the Palace of Versailles in France, Buckingham Palace in United Kingdom, the White House in USA and the Kremlin in Russia).

Many of you love Fenghuang Ancient Town in western of Hunan Province 湘西凤凰古城 so much, isn't it?! Here one more lovely shot of those old and unique stilt houses with locals. Hope you like it!

And! Welcome to join 📸photo workshop📸 to Fenghuang, Yangshuo and Zhangjiajie with @CHINA_PHOTOTOUR in Oct 2019.
👥 A cooperation with @LOVES_CHINA and professional photographers from Europe.

🇨🇳INFORMATION🇨🇳
Those stilt houses in Fenghuang are folk residence, built on the stilts of different heights. They are usually built beside Tuo River.

The stilt houses are usually divided into two parts, the front part and the rear part. The front part is a storied building built on the ground and similar to the fence-style building, while the rear part is a bungalow. In front of the house is a corridor formed by wood balusters with a height of about one meter. Suspended windows were equipped in some houses for rest and enjoying cool.

The unique geographic environment, together with the condition that many ethnic groups live here, has given birth to Xiangxi (Western of Hunan) stilt houses which are very unique, elegant, close to rivers as well as mountains and abundant in trees.

Western of Hunan is a mountainous area in which many ethnic groups is living there. In Fenghuang it is mainly Tujia and Miao ethnic people groups. In this area, the chain of mountains runs up and down, rivers densely distributed and trees abundant.

In 400 years of existence, Yu Garden had undergone many changes. During the late Ming Dynasty, it became very dilapidated with the decline of Pan's family.
.
In 1760, some rich merchants bought it and spent more than 20 years reconstructing the buildings. During the Opium War of the 19th century, it was severely damaged.
