What is love? Nobody knows the answer, even artists and poets did not find the answer.
Notre-Dam de Paris for me as a strong and beautiful woman, was able to carry her beauty through time, through wars and through fire.
And now it is difficult to read the words: “temporarily closed”, but I believe in the French love, they will restore it.
Even a building needs love to rise from the ashes.
I wish every my follower LOVE❤️
Что такое любовь? Никто не знает, даже художники и поэты ответ не нашли.
Notre-Dam de Paris
Recently, a beautiful landmark burned down. The next day, people from all over the world donated money to be able to rebuild it. 1 billion dollars to be precise. And all that within 24 hours. Close to 13,000 sq km of province has burned in British-Colombia,Canada during the summer of 2018, breaking record set in 2017. We have an alarm ringing and we choose to ignore it. We choose what we care about rather than things we actually need. Our forest, sources of water, mountains and animal species have been around longer than the Notre-Dame ever was. Don't get me wrong, the Notre-Dame was a tribute to architectural ingenuity and I am glad I had the chance to see it last year, but we have to get our priorities straight. Our planet need us to hear the alarm and listen. I have hope for our future and firmly believe in the human race. I wish we will be able to work together and make change happen like people were able to do with the Notre-Dame.
First of all, I want to say that I am sorry that I haven’t been posting lately as I haven’t had much time to share new posts because in these days I am really very busy studying 📖📝for my examinations; so thank you for your patience and in June I will be fully active on Instagram.
The second thing is about the parisian disaster. 😵😨All of us know about the huge fire of Notre Dame 🔥🔥which spread over the whole roof. Sadly the 90-metre-high spire and roof collapsed. The consequences are terrible, but a lot of things were save and I am really glad that the main construction of the building with its 2 main iconic towers survived. Despite the huge criticism of the public I think that the parisian firefighters 👨🚒did a great job!👏👏👏👏👏
It’s unbelievable that millions of euros have already been pledged by companies such as Total or Apple in support of its restoration.

The first book I ever read in French was a simplified version of Notre-Dame de Paris by Victor Hugo. My French teacher was obsessed with the novel which kinda traumatized me (tests twice a week, I failed many of them, the famous musical with Garou, songs and everything you can imagine) but at the same time upgraded my French to the next level.
When I was a French literature student, I had to face the original version, 940 pages... While reading long and detailed descriptions, I was wondering if I could ever understand the passion of the author for that cathedral, always full of tourists, I had seen so many times.
During my Erasmus semester in Paris, I developed interest in art and architecture, therefore I decided to give it a try and visit the cathedral once again.
1. Gothic style - if you ever learnt about styles in architecture, you can confirm that the Notre-Dame de Paris Cathedral is the essence of gothic style: stained glass, rose windows, flying buttress or rib voulting.
2. Organs and bells - I visited the Chartres Cathedral that is as gothic as the Notre-Dame de Paris one, but it doesn't have the same unique organs and bells.
3. History - it was the site of the coronation of Napoleon I in 1804 or the liberation of Paris in 1944.
4. Smell - I love temples for their smell and atmosphere and the vibes of Notre-Dame de Paris are exceptional.
A month after the fire the cathedral is unapproachable, guarded by policemen. Even though I couldn't visit it this time and felt heartbroken - the other side is really destroyed... the view of the cathedral made me smile as I know that it is going to be reborn stronger and even more beautiful.
