•THE BOATYARD RESTAURANT• Taking the opportunity this long weekend to visit somewhere comoletely new! I've always wanted to visit Leigh-on-sea and yesterday I ticked it off the list ✔ There was no plan for once we arrived but after a very long stroll along the beach to almost Southend-on-sea and back we stumbled across this restaurant, The Boatyard. It had table service which I noticed other venues did not and the weather was glorious so sitting outside (in the shade so as not to burn my porcelain skin 🙄) was definitely the best option!👍Only a 50 minute journey from Liverpool Street, it was lovely to be next to the water for a few hours and devour some very tasty fish and chips! We had battered cod which had a thin layer of batter (my preference), salty chips, mushy peas and a dollop of tartare sauce! Tip: get there early if it's a nice day, it was getting super busy everywhere by 1/2pm. Do you have plans to try somewhere new this long weekend? A restaurant of a new area? Let me know, would love to hear!👇 ...
