I’ve had such a busy weekend, but such a beautiful one. Friday evening my students performed at Lshva, Saturday morning I had my long class with my children in the professional program. Saturday afternoon I spent finishing an article I was writing..... evening I danced Talattu at Lshva, this morning I was part of a panel/conversation on arts at Shoonya, I spent the afternoon doing nothing.... and I again danced my second show of Talattu at Lshva. I love performing in intimate spaces where the audiences are small and you are close to one another. The experience is magnified. I feel so thankful for the lovely attentive audiences who were there yesterday and today.... it really made my performance special.
I was very happy about the talk this morning. It’s important to open up discussions. Agree, disagree and debate. Very often it’s not about being right or wrong, it is about conversing about different approaches and perspectives. It is also about accepting others ideas and many times agreeing to disagree :-) I have rehearsals with my musician friends at 6:00 am tomorrow. Completely different Performance from today.... going to spend my time going through the content now.... :-) happy to have live music for my next show!! I’ll try and post some rehearsal videos if I can remember.... #bharatnatyam#dancer#dance#dancerlife#bharatanatyam#bharatanatyamdancer#indianclassical#indiandancer#classicalconversations#weekend#saree#india#tradition ...
Chinna Chinna Aasai 🙈💦💫 What I love about a Saree is how it can beautifully tie together generations. It's almost like that one piece of clothing that can travel timelines like a total boss!
This is one Saree I hope does travel many such time-lines. Wearing a beautiful beautiful Saree from @mirraw 💫
Very excited to be a part of Mirraw's Great Indian Saree Festival , which is happening from the 14th of September to the 19th. Time to shop for your favourites now!! Shot by @abhijithsk.photography 💫
