Weekly Tip #9 : TOOL VS TOOL? ✏🍾⚔🏓
Did some paintovers on the GauGAN app renders to bring simple compositions and use the renders for concept development, and you know what? It's freaking GREAT!
Todays topic will be on different approach to your art and how it can boost your creativity. Whether its concept design or illustration you can flesh out your ideas with a number of tools or approaches. I personally found myself being very comfy with one specific approach years ago, maybe it was due to the projects I kinda felt like on the autopilot. Or maybe it was just me being afraid of something unconventional and incorporating it in my art? Either way I think being prisoner of just one style/approach made me stagnant and not happy at all. I think it has changed when I was put on the deep water and working inside the heavy film or game pipeline. Seeing all these people approaching art differently yet so inspirational for me to watch. Where the art skills and flexibility to pick up new tools were in pair and depends on how efficient you were your input was measured. That sort of environment.. sometimes you need that push to realize "Holy shit why didnt I try that?" With that approach for last couple of years I am injecting new stuff or new methods almost everyday. Challenging yourself yet all heavily supported by your core fundamental skills. It's super fun and something that keep you "young", fresh and excited about what we are doing. Cause it can get repetitive, it can get hard or boring. You can change it though or keep it new, having fun everyday by incorporating something new everytime! This Incredible, simple and still very early in production stage software developed by @nvidia called #GauGAN is AI Generated App that will serve you with simple renders. Then you can take it further and make new original concepts out of it. Super fun! Find these tips helpful? Please share it with your art friends!
