The tomb of Itimad-ud-Daulah in Agra is also known as Baby Taj. It is a Mughal mausoleum often credited as the first draft for the Taj Mahal. They are extremely similar in structure and design. You are not allowed to enter the tomb with shoes. The ground outside was very hot, since the temperature was 45 degrees when we visited there 🥵. It was extremely dehydrating but the locations were distractingly beautiful with lots of art motifs and pattern carvings everywhere.

If you know me, you know I’m a suckaaa for old cars - gravitating towards yellow the most. 💛 I think I was born in the wrong decade 🤣.

“We’re going to France this weekend” - he said. “France?” - here my mind has imagined the sunny Nice, purple lavender fields in Provence, terra-cotta streets of Toulouse, and sipping wine at a small cafe with the view of Parisian street. “Yes, we’re going to Limoges”. .
.
What? Where? Limoges? How on Earth did you even come up with that?
That’s how we began our short getaway to France last weekend. .
.
We freaked out. He confessed, that there was not much planning that went into it, apart from the idea of taking me somewhere we both have never heard of before. And being a meticulous planner I am, there aren’t that many places I’ve never heard of.
.
After a short Google search I realised, that this town is indeed not very widely known and visited by international tourists. Oh and need I even mention Instagram, where I couldn’t find a single pretty photo of the place? As a millennial snowflake who trusts Instagram as a reliable source for destination research, the lack of beautiful content from this small town in Central France made me freak out even more. .
.
Breathe, Daria, breathe.. after all, if there will be nothing to see, I’m sure there will still be somewhere to drown your sorrow in wine and creme brulee.. It’s France after all. .
.
But I was wrong. Not about the wine and creme brulee of course, of which there was plenty. But about the town. Imagine medieval timbered houses, cobbled streets, a huge cathedral that rivals Notre Dame de Paris for its beauty. Oh and look at this street on a photo. Do you notice? Not a soul. Well, just me. But apart from that it felt like the entire town was there just for us. .
.
Yes, it’s not Paris. But what else would you need when your mind desires some rest from the city, and your eyes want to look at the beautiful scenery without selfie sticks poking in the eye? 👀 .

.
«Мы едем во Францию» - сказал он. В этот момент я представила себе уютные ресторанчики на Парижских улицах, солнечную Ниццу, яркие лавандовые поля Прованса, терра-коттавые домики Тулуза... «Да, после-завтра мы едем в Лимож.» .
Что? Куда? Лимож? Каким образом ты вообще нашел этот город? .
Мы оба впали в панику.
