When @mauloafloraldesign says she has a bouquet for you to photograph you neverrrr say no. Especially when a mega babe like @devennicole4 is willing to be the one holding it 😍.

I remember this evening so distinctly for some reason. The canyon echoed quietly as the sun went below the horizon, and the updraft from the huge canyon below danced around gently in our hair. Sometimes moments like this seem to linger on forever, giving space for quiet moments of stillness. And it all feels sort of ethereal.
There are moments I’ve had in the outdoors that stick so clearly in my mind like this one. Like the iceberg lagoon in Patagonia where the tiny bits of ice clinked together in the water making the most charming sound I’ve ever heard. Or the many mornings hiking the Pacific Crest Trail watching the sun come up over the chaparral hills in Southern California. Or running around naked below towers in the Grand Canyon when we were the only ones at an epic backcountry campsite. Or watching the sun dip below the water from the coast of Big Sur. So much of my inspiration for photography comes from moments in places like these. I know we’re all talking about Earth day and national park week, and it can all seem a bit political and judgey to tell people to stop using plastic and taking flights, so I don’t want to go there. (And yes, earth day was yesterday so I’m a day behind.) But I just like to think about how nature has defined almost every important decision I’ve made in my life. It’s where I go to find peace and clarity, it’s where so many of our couples go to feel the weight of their marriage commitment and celebrate its beauty.
When I saw the photos of the Notre Dame Cathedral on fire, my gut twisted. It felt so heart breaking, I actually cried a bit. And I thought about what’s happening to so many places I love in the outdoors. Places that feel far more spiritual than any church I’ve been in. Just like the Notre Dame Cathedral caught fire, so many of these incredibly fragile, deeply important places are breaking down. It’s absolutely gut-wrenching.
And just like the Notre Dame Cathedral, restoration is possible. Whether you can afford to make lifestyle changes to reduce your impact or not, I encourage you to consider the earth. To think about all the pivotal moments you’ve enjoyed outside. And to start seeing things from that perspective..

Ingrid and Soni and so beautifully in love! They moved together so comfortably, and there was such a relaxed feeling on our shoot. Their little one ran about while we talked about their baby girl on the way. This soon to be family of four is a dream and I can't wait for you to see more of this session.
MUA: @makeupbylinsey.
