Celebrating a HUGE milestone today... 🎉As of this morning, I’m down 150 lbs!🎉 (150.3 to be exact 😉) This feels big. Exciting. Unreal. 
150 pounds!

I joined @ww in January 2018 and was looking at some big numbers. Knowing how much I had to lose was intimidating. It seemed impossible. I started at my heaviest ever weight - 315.2 pounds.  At that point, I was ready for change and optimistic, but I never thought I’d stick I with it this long or that I’d see this much progress. 
I’m so, so glad I was wrong. 💙

🍨Food is just food. Our bodies don’t differentiate between a gram of carbs from Ben&Jerry’s vs. Halo Top because we don’t eat individual nutrients, we eat food.⠀

Giving yourself permission to eat this food is a cornerstone of intuitive eating, the point being that restriction only creates more anxiety and can make you struggle.⠀

If you are struggling, especially with cravings, we suggest that you identify what’s actually triggering the craving. Cravings, and even emotional eating can be the manifestation of unmet needs, so take a minute and to find out  if you’re craving something food can’t provide, such as relaxation, a mental break, a distraction, a relief for stress, or connection to something/someone. If that’s the case, focus on meeting those needs.  But if you are truly just craving a little bit of ice cream, then go ahead and enjoy some!⠀

Did you know I didn’t start my journey in a gym? All the years I yo-yo dieted, I went extreme in the gym. I got extremely sore and recovered for a few days and ended up not going back

Over and over I went through the same vicious cycle because I went extreme and I didn’t gradually invite new changes in my journey.

Walking is so convenient because you can do it anywhere. If you are starting the journey, start with walking. Allow your body to gradually get into a new healthy habit. Those healthy habits will help you stay the course months and years to come

We have Butternut Squash and Pumpkin Soup today as well as other delicious things such as Thai Curry, Chic’n Shawarma, General Tao Chic’n, etc. And of course the regular menu, the newbie Lemon Pound Cupcake, ice cream, etc. .

We encourage you to bring your own reusable bags and also take out containers when picking up food from the hot section or to take your leftovers home. Thank you for caring..
