If you can’t tell I’ve been stuffing myself with all kinds of foods... everything and anything in sight haha. From chocolate, to pecan pies, to bread with everything on it and lots & lots of cookies😛 as a result I ended up with the biggest food baby I’ve ever created and I named her Bonita😂 I woke up this morning feeling leaner than ever so bring on round 2 🍽 .⁣

All dishes approximately 500 CALORIES 💫

Thick and fluffy sweet potato nut butter pancakes 🥰 🥞👉🏻 ¼ cup coconut flour • ¼ teaspoon pumpkin pie spice • ¼ teaspoon b.s. • 2 tbsp. nut butter • 2 eggs, slightly beaten • 1 egg white, beaten stiff • ½ tbsp. maple syrup (sub any sweetener) • 3 tbsp. sweet potato • 3 tbsp almond milk. Combine dry ingredients in a bowl. In separate bowl, stir nut butter, eggs, maple syrup and sp. Slowly stir in almond milk. Add dry ingredients to wet, then let batter sit for a couple minutes. Cook up your cakes!

When you’re working out there’s a lot going on in your body. Here’s a little pic to help understand where your body is getting its energy and why you lose speed or strength as the as the reps get higher
.
The creatine phosphate system starts you off. It donates a phosphate molecule to ADP to make ATP (energy). It can do this extremely quickly but it makes only a tiny amount of energy and take a very long to to replenish itself. There is also a bit of stored ATP that gets used up quickly in the phase
.
Next comes anaerobic glycolysis. This is mostly used in medium duration. Energy is make through glucose in the bloodstream and glycogen in the liver. It’s pretty fast but after 90-120 seconds it can’t quite keep up with the demand for energy
.
Lastly is aerobic glycolysis. Aerobic meaning that oxygen is needed to produce ATP. The process is quite slow but it produces a ton of ATP
.
When one system is dominating it doesn’t mean the other ones shut off. They continue to operate back stage so to speak
.

I like pairing opposing muscle groups together to save time and effectively work each muscle group more effectively without being too fatigued. 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
I give myself a little rest in between the exercises and sets to ensure im well recovered and able to hit my intended weight/ rep goal!

Did a 1-hour @fitbodybyashley YouTube cardio dance video - I hadn’t done this one in almost a year, and I can tell how out of shape I am compared to the last time I did it. I had to keep reminding myself that I just had a baby (including major abdominal surgery) just over 6-weeks ago… so I need to give myself a little more grace.
